2016

As part of the BreedWheat Future Investments project (ANR 10-BTBR-0003, www.breedwheat.fr), analysis of drought tolerance of elite varieties of bread wheat. A collection of 228 varieties registered in France and Europe over the last 15 years has been tested at two levels of water availability. During the growing season (November 2015 - July 2016), the difference in rainfall between the two treatments was 223 mm. The average yields obtained were 76 q/ha for the mobile sheltered area and 87 q/ha for the unsheltered area.
